The Midlands has a thriving curry industry comprising of over 3000 restaurants and, this year sees the exciting arrival of the first ever Midlands Curry Awards. The event will be held at St Johns Hotel, Warwick Road, Solihull, Birmingham B91 1AT on Sunday 1st November 2009, at 6pm. The Midlands Curry Awards is seeking to offer much deserved recognition uniquely to the best restaurants in the region. The aim is to give the Midlands its own Curry Award for the first time ever. A total of 15 winning awards will be presented. These include the “winner restaurant” from the ten Midland regions: Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire & Coventry, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Birmingham and Solihull and Black Country & Walsall; “Newcomer of the year”, “Young Businessperson Of The Year”, “Businesswoman Of The Year”, “Chef Of The Year” and the “Lifetime Achievement Award”. We are also hoping a special award for “Midlands Businessperson Of The Year”. WHY ENTER The Midlands Curry Awards is the only region wide award ceremony that sets the benchmark for a quality dining experience. The awards are in recognition of excellence in the Midlands curry industry. The awards ceremony isn’t just about a flashy trophy and receiving a certificate. It’s a lot more than that.
